Care Guide

At By Sahara, we design each piece with care, often using organic fabrics and delicate details. To ensure the longevity of your garment, please follow these care instructions.

General Care

• Always check the care label before washing.

• Avoid excessive friction, as delicate fabrics may be prone to snagging.

Zips

We use high-quality YKK zips for durability and smooth function. To prevent issues:

• Zip up carefully, avoiding fabric snags.

• Don’t force stuck zips, gently wiggle them free.

• Store garments zipped up to maintain shape.

YKK zips rarely break within a few wears unless misused. We do not accept returns or refunds on worn items. For stiffness, a small amount of zipper lubricant or wax can help.

Caring for Shell Buttons

Our garments feature many shell buttons, chosen for their unique beauty and organic finish. Due to their delicate nature, they require careful handling:

• Hand wash or use a gentle machine cycle (cold water, low spin).

• Do not twist, wring, or tumble dry, as excessive force can cause buttons to weaken or crack.

• Shell buttons are fragile by nature and, while we ensure they are securely attached during production, we cannot take responsibility for buttons that may loosen or fall off whilst being worn, even on the first wear as these are deliberately delicate pieces. Spare buttons are already provided with garments therefore we are unable to ship more buttons out later.

Storage & Care

• Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

• Use padded hangers or neatly fold items to maintain their shape.

• If a button loosens, we recommend reinforcing it with a few stitches to prolong its durability.
